Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?Tangled Thread Therapy offers individual counselling sessions for teens and adults, as well as parent/caregiver consultation sessions to support families navigating emotional, behavioural, or relational concerns.
I also offer a short-term ADHD Strategy & Support service (typically 3–5 sessions), focused on psychoeducation, personalized strategies, and goal setting to help clients better understand and work with their ADHD.
How do I get started? The first step is a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is a chance for you to briefly share what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of whether we feel like a good fit.
If it feels like a match, we’ll book your first session from there.
Are your services covered by insurance? At this time my services are not covered by insurance. Some health spending accounts may offer reimbursement options.
What do you charge? My current session fees are:
Individual counselling (50 minutes): $100
Parent/caregiver consultation (50 minutes): $100
ADHD Strategy & Support (3–5 session package): $250 (initial 3 sessions, $50/session for additional)
Payment is typically due at the time of service.
How do I contact you?You can reach me by email at hello@tangledthreadtherapy.ca or by using the contact form on this website.
I aim to respond to all inquiries within 1–2 business days.
What makes you different? What makes my approach different is that I don’t see therapy as a strictly structured or formal process — I see it as a space for exploration.
I often bring creativity, curiosity, and humour into the room, and I encourage clients to make use of metaphor, story, imagery, and other forms of expression when words don’t feel like enough.
Many of the people I work with don’t think in linear ways, and I don’t expect them to. Instead, we slow things down and work together to untangle thoughts, patterns, and emotions in a way that actually fits how your mind works.
